FAQs
I retrieved data from my door lock to my AL-DTM Data Transfer Module, and successfully sent the data from the AL-DTM to DL-Windows. But why do the Events listed in the Event Log screen all display incorrect dates and times?
When a new "factory-fresh" lock is powered for the first time, its clock must be set either manually (using the keypad) or by DL-Windows (using the date/time set in the PC running DL-Windows). When sending data from DL-Windows to an AL-DTM Data Transfer Module, if the checkbox Set Lock Clock is not checked, the lock's internal clock will not be updated.
This Set Lock Clock checkbox is easily overlooked. If Events listed in the Event Log screen all display the date 'January, 01, 2001', it is likely the clock was never set when the lock was first powered, and this Set Lock Clock checkbox was not checked. In addition, always ensure the PC running DL-Windows is also set to the correct date and time.
