Does Napco have a voltage troubleshooting guide for the Gemini GEM-P3200, GEM-P9600 and/or GEM-X255 control panels?
Yes. Use a multimeter to confirm the following readings:
AC Voltage
- Terminals 1 and 2, normal voltage readings = 16.5VAC to 18VAC, transformer fused.
Burg Output Voltage
- Terminals 5 (+) and 14 (-), normal voltage out: 13.8VDC. Glass fuse panels, fuse F1 = 3A.
Aux Alarm Output
- Terminals 6 (+) and 14 (-), normal voltage out: 13.8VDC. Glass fuse panels, fuse F3 = 1.5A.
Keypad Power
- Terminals 9 (+) and 10 (-), normal voltage out: 13.8VDC. Glass fuse panels, fuse F2 = 1.5A.
Keypad Data Bus
- Terminals 11 and 12, DC voltage fluctuates between 0.7VDC - 6VDC (but not above 6VDC).
Aux Power
- Terminals 13 (+) and 14 (-), normal voltage out: 13.8VDC. Glass fuse panels, fuse F2 = 1.5A.
Reset Relay
- Terminals 28 (+) and 14 (-), normal voltage out: 13.8VDC. Glass fuse panels, fuse F5 = 1.5A.
Fire Power
- Terminal 28 (+) and a zone negative, normal voltage out: 13.8VDC.
Zone Voltages
- 2.2K resistor On = 6VDC
- 2.2K resistor Off = 13VDC
- 2.2K resistor Shorted = 0VDC
- Battery charging circuit = 13.8VDC
