FAQs
With the NAPCO Gemini window / door transmitters, when battery voltage drops below normal a low-battery report will be sent to the receiver. At what voltage will the low-battery report be sent?
With the Gemini GEM-TRANS2 Window / Door Transmitter, GEM-RTRANS Recessed Window / Door Transmitter, GEM-TRANSLP Low Profile Window / Door Transmitter:
A low-battery report will be triggered at approximately 2.5V only while the device is transmitting. Be aware that the low-battery report occurs very rapidly while the device is transmitting; if the battery voltage is measured with a volt meter when the transmitter is idle, the reading is often higher than 2.5V because the meter is reading the idle no-load voltage.
