With the Alarm Lock model DL3500 DB, when I throw the deadbolt to lock the door, why does a User Code then allow the unlocking of the deadbolt?
The deadbolt is not intended to prevent entry by locking out a valid and enabled User Code entered at the keypad. All valid and enabled User Codes will provide entry regardless of the position of the deadbolt. The deadbolt is provided to heighten resistance to forced entry; the deadbolt is not designed to restrict the electronic keypad from granting access.
