FAQs
Can I use a Gemini C-Series (GEMC) control panel for a large addressable burglary application, but with added fire devices? Will this burg-only (non-Commercial Fire) system accept any Fire zones?
No, there is no way to control Fire zones on the Burglary bus. A Fire keypad must be installed on the Fire bus, controlling Fire devices on the Fire bus, either using a GEMC-F8ZCPIM Conventional 8 Fire Zone Expander Plug in Module or through addressable zones.
The GEMC-COMBO128KT or 255KT are perfect for the above-described application. These models are supplied with UL-Approved Commercial Mercantile attack-proof enclosures. All the dealer has to do is run a Fire bus and add the supplied a GEMC-FK1 keypad and the result is an outstanding Fire system with NAC (Notification Appliance Circuit) outputs.
