FAQs
My AL-DTM III will not communicate with my lock. Can you suggest an effective trouble shooting process?
- Ensure your AL-DTM III is set to the correct mode to be compatible with your DL-Windows software version. Basically, DL-Windows version 3.0.4 (and earlier) will require your AL-DTM III to be configured to AL-DTM II ("2") mode. DL-Windows version 3.6.3 (and later) will require your AL-DTM II to be configured to AL-DTM III ("3") mode. See the PDF document WI1443A for step-by-step procedures to configure the AL-DTM modes.
- Ensure your AL-DTM is set to Door Select Mode. Note: If your AL-DTM has one button, then it does not support Door Select Mode. See the PDF document WI1443A for step-by-step procedures to configure the AL-DTM modes.
- Verify that the DTM code is programmed into your lock. Press this code on the lock keypad: The green LED should light; if the red LED lights, refer to the programming instructions for your lock model and program the DTM Code into the lock. Note: The DTM Code is also referred to as the "299 Code" because it is programmed like a standard User Code, and placed into the user location ("slot") number 299.
