Our Fire Department will not let us install any system that requires codes to reset.
The GEMC series control panels support the "keyswitch unlock" feature, which replaces user code entry. Simply turn the keyswitch and it will "unlock" the keypad, allowing Silence, Reset or advanced operations (such as programming). In addition, later version control panels allow you to program the option "Keypad 1 Always Unlocked for Silence, Reset and Supp", allowing the user and the fire department to acknowledge Troubles with the ability to silence and reset alarms.
