How can I arm both "Classic" and "K Series" keypads if they are wired to the same control panel?
Napco does not recommend wiring both "K Series" and "Classic" style keypads to the same control panel, but if both styles are in fact used in one system, the rule is:
- The keypad style set as "Keypad #1" determines the operation of all keypads in the system.
"K Series" keypad set as "Keypad #1":
Arm the "K Series" keypad normally as shown in its User Guide. To arm STAY with a "Classic" style keypad wired to this system, enter the User Code and press interior. To arm AWAY with a "Classic" style keypad, enter the User Code and press inSTANT.
"Classic" keypad set as "Keypad #1":
Arm the "Classic" keypad normally as shown in its User Guide. To arm with a "K Series" style keypad wired to this system, use the same key pattern as the "Classic" style keypad. For example, to arm when leaving the premises, enter the User Code and press ENTER.
