How do I program the control panel using the keypad?
"Classic" Keypads
If your keypad has a FUNCTION button or an INTERIOR button (see image below) it is a "Classic" keypad.
Enter the Master Security Code (printed on the factory label located inside the control panel enclosure) and press FUNCTION. Press BYPASS until the display reads "Activate Program" (or "17" if using a numerical keypad) then press INTERIOR for "Yes" to enter the Keypad Easy Program Menu (the display will read "# Area 1 Keypads" or "22"). Press RESET once to enter Direct Address Programming Mode (where you can enter data directly into the programming location). Press RESET twice to exit keypad programming.
"K Series" Keypads
If your keypad has a MENU button and STAY and AWAY buttons, you have a "K Series" keypad.
Enter the Master Security Code (printed on the factory label located inside the control panel enclosure) and press MENU. Press BYPASS until the display reads "Activate Program" (or "17" if using a numerical keypad) then press STAY for "Yes" to enter the Keypad Easy Program Menu (the display will read "# Area 1 Keypads" or "22"). Press RESET once to enter Direct Address Programming Mode (where you can enter data directly into the programming location). Press RESET twice to exit keypad programming.
