FAQs
Does Napco retain video clips of iSeeVideo email notifications?
Napco does not retain video clips of iSeeVideo email notifications nor does Napco archive anything beyond what is available at the iSeeVideo website (the rule is, "first in, first out"). Once a clip is overwritten, the clip is permanently lost. In addition, due to privacy laws, Napco does not retain email notification data. Note: To receive email notifications, be sure the My Videos > My Alerts link on the www.videoalert.net website is enabled.
Note: Napco recommends opening a separate email address (such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) exclusively for iSeeVideo email alerts. Then enter My Alerts and select the Attachment Type radio button as Video (mp4) (see arrow in the image below). The opening of a separate email address not only allows the viewing of past clips (provided they were not overwritten by the "first in, first out" rule at the iSeeVideo website), but allows additional storage of clips based on the maximum the email provider allows (for example, Gmail allows up to 5GB of stored email data).
