FAQs
When I try to view an iSeeVideo camera live in my Internet Explorer browser, I receive "MPEG4 Decoder Not Found" or "H.264 Decoder Not Found" messages. What can I do to resolve this?
If you receive either of these warning messages when attempting to view live camera video, remove and re-install the ActiveX files responsible for the warnings from your Internet Explorer browser as follows:
Open Internet Explorer and click Tools, Manage Add-ons. In the Show pull-down menu, select "All add-ons" (see arrow in the image below).
Find the ActiveX add-ons highlighted in the following image:
Note: If these ActiveX files are not listed, they are not installed within your Internet Explorer Browser.
To remove these ActiveX add-ons, double-click the first add-on and the following popup appears:
Click the Remove button to remove this ActiveX control. Repeat for the next two add-ons.
Next, reset your browser settings by clicking Tools, Internet Options. In the Advanced tab, click the Reset button.
Close and re-open the Internet Explorer browser and re-visit the VideoAlert.net website. Log in to your account and click My Cameras. The website will need to re-install the ActiveX controls into your browser; simply follow the on-screen directions to allow the files to install.
