FAQs
With my non-Networx door lock, can I program a 'Basic User' as an 'Emergency Lockdown' User?
Although the DL-Windows software has the option to set any 'Basic User' as an 'Emergency Lockdown' User, non-Networx locks will not allow this programming option to be programmed.
Example:
A non-Networx PDL3500 lock contains a Basic User that was programmed by DL-Windows as an Emergency Lockdown User. Despite that programming, that Basic User Code will ONLY be able to unlock the PDL3500. Although this Basic User Code cannot quickly lock the PDL3500 as an Emergency Lockdown User, if you wish for that User Code to quickly lock the unit, the next best option is to use the feature, "Group 2 Toggles Passage"; this feature is not the same as the Emergency Lockdown feature, but its use will quickly lock the unit.
NOTE: The "Group 2 Toggles Passage" will NOT prevent another User Code from being entered and changing the state of the lock. To prevent other User Codes from being used without having to change to a Networx system, use a Privacy lock model (P)DL4100 or (P)DL4500.
