In the StarLink Radio Management Center, i.e., the NAPCO NOC, why are all system Event times displayed in the Eastern Time Zone (ET) only?
In the StarLink Radio Management Center, i.e., the NAPCO NOC, you may notice that all system Event times are displayed in the Eastern Time Zone (ET) only. This is because the NAPCO NOC (Network Operations Center) is physically located in the NAPCO headquarters in Amityville, NY, located in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States. Shown below is an example:
The first Event signal listed (Alarm Code 123) was, in reality, triggered and transmitted at 2:40 PM Central Time (see Event notification image below) and would be recorded at the central station as "2:40 PM". However, in the NAPCO NOC, this same Event will appear as "3:40 PM" Eastern Time (as shown above).
