Why is the Chime tone not sounding at the keypad when the Chime Zone is violated?
If the Chime tone is not sounding at the keypad when the Chime Zone is violated, check the following:
- Ensure the control panel zone is programed for Chime;
- In the Keypad Function Mode (Dealer Program Mode), ensure that Activate Chime is enabled. Note: The duration of the tone is programmable; Chime and Watch modes display as "Monitor" on all GEM-RP2ASe2 and GEM-K2AS keypads;
- In PCD-Windows Quickloader software, open the System Assignment screen, Time Selection tab and verify Chime is programmed with a duration (4 x 1/4 second is the default setting).
