FAQs
What is an Ambush Code and which Trilogy T3 locks are equipped with a programmable Ambush Code?
An Ambush Code is a special code entered at the lock keypad when a user is forced to unlock a locking device. The device unlocks but sends a silent alarm (with no indication at the keypad). The Ambush Code can be used to trip a relay, to alert security, or trip a silent alarm on a burglary control panel.
The Alarm Lock door lock models equipped with a programmable Ambush Code are:
PDL8600, PDL6500, PDL6600, PDL8200, ETDL, DK3000, DL3500, DL3200, DL3000, DL4100, DL6100, PDK3000, PDL6300, PDL6100, PDL3000, NETDK, NETPDK, PDL4100, ETPDL, ETPDN and ETPDLN.
The factory default Ambush Code is "99"; to change the Ambush Code, see the Programming Instructions included with the lock and use Function 66 (the Ambush Code must be 2 digits in length). Note: Any attempt to add a new User Code that matches the first two digits of the Ambush Code will sound an error and will be disallowed.
