FAQs
Do StarLink Fire communicators reporting to an IP receiver (NAPCO VIP, Sur-Gard or Bosch IP receivers) have the option to report a Test Timer when using communicator inputs with the communicator NOT connected to a fire control panel with a DACT?
Yes. To have a StarLink Fire communicator report an IP Test Timer, log into the NAPCO NOC website (www.NapcoNOC.com), enter the Primary IP address and a backup IP (or telephone number), then select Save. After saving, the CS Test Timer tab will appear (see red arrow in the screen below).
In the CS Test Timer tab, select Edit. Upon checking the Manage Radio Test Timer checkbox, a Start Time will appear; if not, set the Test Timer to occur within the Permitted Test Timer Range displayed. Set the Test Timer Interval and select Save.
Important: Do not use this option if the communicator is connected to the control panel DACT.
Note: For those StarLink communicators that are connected to the DACT of a control panel, the control panel must report a test to ensure the control panel is reporting correctly.
