FAQs
How do I reset my Trilogy DL2700 or DL2800 lock back to its original factory default settings?
There are two basic methods to restore the DL2700 and DL2800 locks back to their original "out of box" factory default settings. Note: All lock programming can also be erased without the need to disconnect the batteries by using Function 99. See the programming instructions provided with the lock for details.
Method 1
- Unplug battery pack.
- Press and hold AL for 30 seconds to ensure the lock circuitry is fully discharged.
- Re-connect battery pack. Lock MUST sound 3 short beeps (otherwise, start again at step 1).
- Press and hold AL within 5 seconds of hearing the 3 short beeps.
- A series of slow beeps will sound to signify that all settings and programming are being erased. When finished, the lock will be ready for use.
Alternative Method 2
- Unplug battery pack.
- Press and hold AL for 30 seconds to ensure the lock circuitry is fully discharged.
- While pressing and holding AL, re-connect the battery pack. Lock MUST sound 3 short beeps (otherwise, start again at step 1).
- A series of slow beeps will sound to signify that all settings and programming are being erased. When finished, the lock will be ready for use.
