Can I use the Fire Aux Relay for 24V Resettable Fire Power?
To use the Fire Aux Relay for Resettable Fire Power:
1. At the NAPCO NOC (https://Firelink.NapcoNoc2.com/), enable Fire Reset and Constant Power.
2. Ensure there are no events programmed for the Fire Aux Relay:
3. Wire the Fire Aux Relay to a third party 24V Fire-rated power source, then:
- Remove the J300 jumper to make the relay 'dry'.
- Wire the power supply positive wire to the common terminal 10 on the Fire Aux Relay.
- Wire the normally open terminal 12 from the Fire Aux Relay to the positive side of the smoke detector.
- Wire the negative terminal of the smoke detector to the negative of the power supply.
The relay is energized for fail-safe, therefore wire the relay to the N/O terminal. When the smoke is triggered, the Fire Aux Relay changes state; reset the smoke detector by pressing Reset on the keypad. Relay Ratings: 750mA dry contact Form C relay rated 30VAC or 24VDC / 2.5A maximum.
To Reset the Smoke detector at the GEMC-FK1 keypad:
- Unlock the keypad by entering your user code followed by Enter.
- Press ACK ("acknowledge") key.
- Press Reset.
