FAQs
Why is my StarLink communicator showing a line cut trouble?
If the StarLink red "trouble" LED (labeled D5 located at the bottom right of the PC board) is blinking 8 times and/or a line cut trouble indication appears on the NAPCO NOC, the cause is likely one of the inputs is missing resistance.
For StarLink dual-path communicators, check inputs 2 through 5 for the included 10K resistor. Gently tug on each to ensure it is seated properly. If you are using the inputs for alarm communication, ensure you are using the resistor at the control panel.
For StarLink sole-path communicators not using the inputs for alarm communication, ensure jumpers are not installed on terminals J4 and/or J5 in the X5 jumper block. If you are using the inputs for alarm communication, ensure you are using the included wiring harness.
