I have a previously active StarLink communicator that I want to reuse with a new account. I will need to significantly alter the programming of the communicator to conform to this new account. Should I reset the StarLink communicator back to its original factory default settings? If so, how?
Yes, when reusing a previously active StarLink communicator or after making significant changes to its configuration, we recommend resetting the communicator back to its original factory default settings. Proceed as follows:
- Log into the StarLink Radio Management Center and open programming page of the communicator in question.
- In the main screen, click Advanced > Edit > Reboot with Default > Save.
- After communicator reboots, click Upload and reprogram the communicator as needed.
