FAQs
How do I set up Input Reporting for StarLink LTE dual path Fire communicators that are reporting to an IP receiver?
The LTE dual path communicators come with four supervised inputs that can be wired to a FACP without a DACT to provide four signals without the need for the 9SLE10KHARN Wire Harness.
Wire inputs 2-5 to the corresponding relays on the FACP using the supplied 10K EOLRs. A short will send an alarm and open will send a trouble. Wire OUT 1 to a radio trouble zone/point on the FACP.
After the radio is registered, log in to the StarLink Radio Management Center (www.napconoc2.com).
General Tab
- Click the Edit button, then enable the Dealer Entered Programming radio button.
- Program the central station primary IP information and backup IP or telephone number information. Note: Check with your central station to see if a DNIS number is required.
- Click the "Notepad" icon (red square in the image below) to enable the inputs to report to the central station.
- Set the Poll Fail Timeout to match the selected plan (200 sec., 5 min., 60 min., 6 hours (dual path) or 24 hours).
Inputs and outputs tab.
Program inputs 2-5 to Supervision/Fire Alarm.
Default Input Programming.
- IN2 FACP Trouble
- IN3 Fire Alarm
- IN4 Supervisory
- IN5 WaterFlow
Note: If input 2 or 3 are programmed for another supervised input option, the 9SLE10KHARN must be used.
The reporting codes may be changed as needed for other Fire signals (Low pressure, Fire Pump run/fail, Carbon Monoxide, etc.)
After all changes have been made, be sure to click the Save button.
