FAQs
What voltage does a StarLink Fire Radio Communicator PGM1 trouble output terminal provide to fire alarm control panels?
The PGM1 terminal is a normally on "active low" open collector output. In a normal state, the output is in a low state of approximately 1-4VDC, effectively providing a ground for the load device. When the PGM1 terminal is triggered (for example, a trouble is detected), the output becomes open collector/high and will float at approximately 24VDC relative to ground.
When a StarLink Fire Radio Communicator is wired through the 9SLE10KHARN Wire Harness to a GEMC-CF8ZPIM, the output is about 1V when the output is active (satisfying the fire zone input) and when the output is open collector, the voltage is over 2V causing the zone to go into alarm.
