FAQs
How do I program a StarLink communicator to report in IP format to a Sur-Gard System 5 Receiver?
Napco StarLink communicators are UL Listed to report to a Sur-Gard System 5 receiver in IP format. Sur-Gard System 5 can be programmed with 64 different supervision Debounce Intervals (profiles) on one line card based on the DNIS number. This allows central stations to set up dealers with multiple profiles to meet the different supervision times for StarLink Commercial plans without adding line cards for each supervision time.
- 200sec - NFPA 2007 and sole path Burg
- 5min - NFPA 2010
- 6min - Dual path Burg
- 60min - NFPA 2013, 2016 and 2019 sole path
- 6hours - NFPA 2013, 2016 and 2019 dual path
See https://tech.napcosecurity.com/index.php/techlibrary/docdetails/brand_id/1/doc_id/2495 to set up proper supervision with Sur-Gard receivers.
For non-UL plans, 24hr and 7days will only report to profile Zero as non-supervised.
