FAQs
How do I add a Remote Annunciator to a FireLink control panel?
The FireLink control panel can support up to 6 remote annunciators, and all must be addressed in consecutive order as numbers 02 through 06. By default, the control panel annunciator is configured and programmed for address 01 and must not be changed. The following example explains how to address and program a remote annunciator on a FireLink Control panel.
Addressing the Remote Annunciator
- Wire the additional GEMC-FK1 keypad remote annunciator(s) to the control panel as per the installation instructions.
- With the control panel powered, place the control panel into Configuration Mode by moving Jumper J1 (located at the lower center of the control panel motherboard), from the top two pins to the bottom two pins.
- At the remote annunciator, press and hold the 1, 2 and 3 keys simultaneously to force the remote annunciator "out of system". Within 30 seconds, the remote annunciator will display "01 Out of System".
- Press 11123 MENU to enter Configuration Mode of the remote annunciator.
- Press MENU repeatedly until the display reads Keypad Address; press the correct address and press ENTER to save. Example: If adding one remote annunciator to the system, press 02 followed by ENTER to address as it as keypad #2.
- Press RESET to exit Configuration Mode.
- The remote annunciator will display "02 Out of System".
- Repeat the above steps for additional remote annunciators after all devices are addressed. Place the system back into "Normal Mode" by moving Jumper J1 back to the top two pins.
Programming the Remote Annunciator

At the control panel annunciator, enable the program download:

- Press the YES / NEXT key. (Note that the control panel will display an "E28 Service Error Check Required" system trouble).
- Download the changes to the control panel. The E28 system trouble will clear.
