How do I program StarLink radio-generated signals to ensure these signals follow through to the central station and not terminate at the Napco NOC?
By factory default, the StarLink radio will not send any signals to the central station pertaining to radio generated signals. The signals will still appear in the event log (due to 10 nines programmed in the Advanced tab in the NOC website). For example, radio tampers, reboots and input trips IN1, IN2 and IN3. The below information is a quick start guide detailing how to program those signals to ensure they follow through to the central station and not terminate at the Napco NOC.
Note: Refer to Figure A, below. The steps below refer to the red colored arrows; the blue arrows refer to what is being enabled with each feature.
- Log in to the NOC website (www.NapcoNOC.com) and load the radio programming.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Edit.
- Type your central station receiver number in the field labeled Tel # for Reporting Tamper /Linecut /Parallel Inp.
- Type the last four digits of your account number in the field labeled Subscriber Account Number.
- Click Save to retain all changes to the radio.
Note: If you are programming a Fire radio, than you must click the General tab and click Disable Jumper One For Download before you save (see Figure B).
By programming the telephone number in the Advanced tab, you not only enable the radio-generated signals marked with the blue arrow, but you also enable optional signals to go through if you utilize IN1, IN2 or IN3 on you radio (located in the Inputs and Outputs tabs; see Figure C. Note: The options Y, N or A next to each signal means the following: "N" = No signal enabled; "Y" = Signal enabled; "A" = Abort Delay.
