FAQs
What settings should I use when using a StarLink LTE fire communicator with DSC MAXSYS PC4020 control panels?
StarLink Communicator Programming:
- Ensure the StarLink communicator is running the latest firmware (if needed, visit tech.napcosecurity.com to download the latest firmware).
- Visit the NAPCO NOC website at www.NapcoNoc.com, open the Advanced tab and in the Handshake Kissoff pull-down, select HS4 1400, CID, 2300 (213).
In the DSC MAXSYS PC4020 Control Panel:
- Program a D or an A before the phone number.
- Program a 10 digit phone number.
- Program the panel for DTMF dialing and contact ID format.
- Program the control panel for Auto Contact ID.
- The account number is programmed in HEX. Therefore, if a zero exists in the account number, the zero must be programmed as an A (example for account# 8109, program "8109" in the control panel as "81A9".
Note: The above programming was performed with a DSC MAXSYS PC4020 control panel versions 3.54 and 3.57.
