FAQs
How do I keypad program a Test Timer schedule (a 7 Day, 8 Hour or 1 Hour schedule) with a Model MA1008e Version 2 control panel?
Normally the control panel sends a Test Timer report daily, but if you prefer a weekly test, or an 8 hour test, or a 1 hour test, program as follows:
To Program Using PCD-Windows Quickloader:
- Log into Quickloader, open the account and click System Assignment > System Options. Check 7 Day Test Timer, 8 Hour Test Timer or 1 Hour Test Timer.
- Click the Time Selection tab and enter the Test Timer Offset duration. Test Timer Offset is a feature that, upon powering the control panel, the system will wait the specified duration before sending the first Test Timer report. All Test Timer reports thereafter will follow the option selected step 1.
- Open the System Reporting and Outputs tab and check Report on Alarm Telco 1 for Test Timer. In the Code column for Test Timer, enter a two-digit reporting code.
To Program Using the Keypad:
- Enter programming by pressing and holding the 8 key until the keypad beeps, then press your Dealer Keypad Program Code. Note: To verify the system is in Program Mode, a single dash ("‒") appears in the display (or "addr" appears for LCD keypads).
- Set the location by pressing the bypass key ("B") key until you see 3 dashes ("‒‒‒").
- Press the address location 169 and add a hex of 1.
- Press the address location 024 and 025 and program the report code for the Test Timer, as required.
- Press the address location 250 and set a hex bit of 1 (for 1 hour) for the Test Timer Offset duration.
- For location 177 set a hex bit of 2 for a 7 day Test Timer;
- For location 177 set a hex bit of 4 for an 8 hour Test Timer;
- For location 177 set a hex bit of 8 for a 1 hour Test Timer.
Note: The address location 177 is not referenced in the programming instructions.
