FAQs
With a Gemini C-Series (GEMC) or FireLink control panel, how do I use PCD-Windows Quickloader software to program the FWC-FSLC-CZM Conventional Zone Module?
The Napco FWC-FSLC-CZM Conventional Zone Module allows the control panel fire SLC (Signaling Line Circuit) loop to interface with and monitor two-wire conventional detectors or pull stations. When used with the GEMC-F8ZCPIM Conventional 8 Fire Zone Expander Plug in Module, 8 additional 2-wire smoke zones can be added.
Each FWC-FSLC-CZM must be wired to the fire SLC loop (to the GEMC-FW-SLC Signaling Line Circuit Module located inside the GEMC control panel) and powered with 24VDC; this power is supervised by the module and therefore if the module detects a loss of voltage, a Report Trouble / Trouble Restore and a system E97 Fire SLC Device trouble will be triggered. Note: 24VDC is required even when wiring non-powered devices to the FWC-FSLC-CZM module.
Required Programming
First program the FWC-FSLC-CZM for a fire SLC address using the handheld FWC-FSLC-PROG2 Programming Tool, then use PCD-Windows Quickloader software to program the module. If the device uses Resettable power, follow these steps:
1. In the Zone Assignment screen, for the zone being programmed for the FWC-FSLC-CZM, open the RF/SLC Point screen (shown at right) by clicking its cell in the RF/SLC Point column.
2. In the RF/SLC device pull-down, select Fire SLC.
3. In the Device Type pull-down, select FWC-FSLC-CZM.
4. In the Receiver/SLC Address pull-down, select the address of the GEMC-FW-SLC Signaling Line Circuit Module used (either 1 or 2).
5. In the Device Address field, select the address of the FWC-FSLC-CZM.
6. Select the Device Point.
7. If the device uses Resettable power, check the Reset checkbox and click OK; if the device uses Non-Resettable power, un-check the Reset checkbox and click OK.
