FAQs
What is the process for "Importing", Activating" and "Registering" the software license (CardAccess.lic) file that was received in an email?
If you are emailed a "CardAccess.Lic" file from Continental Access, you must copy it to the desktop of the CardAccess 3000 or CA4K host.
Once the "CardAccess.Lic" file is on the desktop, you need to launch the "CardAccess License Manager" by clicking Start>ALL Programs>CardAccess3000>CardAccess License Manager.
From the main menu in the CardAccess License Manager, you must IMPORT the license. After the license is imported from the desktop, you must ACTIVATE it. After the license is activated, we recommend REGISTERING it. In the CardAccess 3000, the Registration is optional, but you must have it registered if you ever need to move it to a new computer. In the CA4K, it is MANDATORY that you REGISTER the software license.
Note: The above procedure requires internet access. It is highly recommended to have internet access. If internet access is not available, you can call Continental Sales, and they will perform a phone "Activation" with you.
