How do the databases in CA4K compare to the CardAccess 3K?
In the CardAccess 3000, there is one live database that contains configuration data and events. There is also one Archive database that also contains configuration data and events.
In the CA4K, there are a total of 5 databases created during a Complete installation. In the CA4K databases, configuration data and events are separated and are in different databases. Below is a list of the databases:
caLiveConfiguration (Live Database for Configuration Data only)
caLiveEvents (Live database for Events only)
caArchiveConfiguration (Archive database for Configuration Data only)
caArchiveEvents (Archive database for events only)
caComDb - (Used for communications information)
VERY IMPORTANT: By default, the databases are created in the "ProgramData/CardAccess/Database" folder.
