FAQs
What is wrong if a "Max Users Have Been Reached" error message displays when launching the CardAccess 3000?
In many cases, this usually means there is a problem with the software license. The first area to check is the CardAccess license manager screen. The CardAccess license manager can be found on the Start menu. Below are a few of the possible causes:
1) The software license was imported but never activated. A software license usually has a 60 day grace period. The license must be activated before the grace period expires. If the CardAccess License manager displays "0" days left, you must activate the license via the internet.
2) If the software license was activated and registered, there is a possibility the license automatically revoked itself due to a hardware change or an operating system upgrade. If this occurs, you must contact Continental Sales and they will reset the license for you. At that point, you can re-activate the license again.
3) If the software license has been activated and registered, there is a possibility you might have to empty the MAIL table and reboot the computer. This is a common symptom when Remote Desktop is used to connect to a CardAccess 3000 host computer. Remote Desktop inserts additional records into the MAIL table and causes this error. WARNING: Remote desktop should never be used to connect to a CardAccess 3000 host. It should only be used to connect to a workstation.
NOTE: If the license was previously activated, registered and working, the issue is most likely step 2 above.
