FAQs
Can CardAccess 3000 archive databases be placed on another drive other than the C: drive?
If CardAccess 3000 is installed on the C: Drive, then it is required to have the archive databases on the C:drive. If you must place the archive database on another drive, here are your options:
1) Install the CardAccess 3000 software on another drive (ex. D:). If you do this, you should create a program files folder on the D: drive. During the installation, the destination path will display. All you have to do is change the letter to D: and keep the exact path to program files.
2) The second option is to install a two computer system as follows:
Install one computer (CardAccess host) as a "Server with Tools Only" installation. This will be the CardAccess host.
Install one computer as a Database Server that contains SQL Server and all the databases for the CardAccess 3000. The live and archive databases will be on this database server and the CardAccess host will point to this database server.
