I found older horns and/or 4-wire horn strobes installed in my Gemini C-Series (GEMC) system. How do I wire and program my GEMC control panel to have the panel generate the required Temporal 3 cadence?
When retrofitting older GEMC / Firewolf control panels, installers may find older horns and/or 4-wire horn strobes installed. Unlike the newer smart devices, these older NAC devices may not include a pre-programmed Temporal 3 cadence. These older NAC devices can be wired to the control panel in order to have the control panel generate the Temporal 3 cadence, as follows:
NAC Programming
Using PCD-Windows Quickloader software, open the NAC/Output Assignment screen, NAC/Output Assignments tab (see image below). Program the NACs for Silenceable; in the Cadence / Level column, enable Temporal 3.
Zone Programming
Program all Fire Alarm zones to trip the required NACs:
