FAQs
What chips do I need to upgrade on a Superterm to use with CA4K?
When upgrading to CA4K, there are two chips on older Superterms that might need to be updated. Below are the two chips to be concerned with:
1) U39 Firmware chip - If this chip is a version 1 chip (1.xx.xx) , it must be updated to Version 2 to use with CA4K. The Continental part number for this chip is below.
Part number: CI-UM5124-SUP (MUST STATE VERSION 2)
2) U61 Memory chip - You must check the communications driver. If the "EXP MEM" column displays 96, then this chip does not need to be updated. If it displays anything less, then you must purchase this chip through Continental and upgrade it.
Part number: CICP1800MB256
