FAQs
How can I confirm that the "cold start" of my Gemini control panel was performed successfully?
After using Keypad Configuration Mode (also called Direct Address Programming) to "cold start" the control panel, the keypad will display the address number used to initiate the cold start, and will also display two letters ("XX"). Proceed as follows:
- Press the keypad ON/OFF (or ENTER) button and listen for a single beep. This beep confirms that the "cold start" process was performed successfully.
- Press RESET repeatedly to "back out" of Keypad Configuration Mode. An E-09 trouble will be displayed on the keypad. This trouble indication is further confirmation that the "cold start" process was performed successfully.

Keypad Configuration Mode
Also called Direct Address Programming, Keypad Configuration Mode is an extension of Dealer Program Mode wherein data is entered at the keypad by the individual address location. Keypad Configuration Mode allows you to use a keypad to go directly into an individual address location (up to 4095) and change the data entries manually in order to customize your control panel options. Options include making changes to the keypad beep, keypad addressing, EZM addressing, compatibility number changes and more.
