FAQs
What happens to the operation of my Z-Wave 3-Way light switches should my IBR-ZREMOTE should fail?
Z-Wave 3-Way light switches, consisting of one master and one slave switch, are learned into the IBR-ZREMOTE just like all other Z-Wave devices. After the devices are learned, each device not only captures and disseminates its own network data, but also relays data for other devices. Thus if one device no longer operates, the remaining devices are still able to communicate with each other, either directly or through other devices in the network. In this way, Z-Wave networks self-form and self-heal.
Therefore, with an otherwise fully functional system, should the IBR-ZREMOTE become non-functional, the 3-Way switches will remain operational, and will still be able to communicate with each other.
