How can I manually update the iBridge IBR-ITAB or IBR-ITAB-HW Tablet App version?
The following steps describe how to use a USB thumb drive or an SD card to update the iBridge application ("app") for the IBR-ITAB or IBR-ITAB-HW tablets.
- Visit the Napco Technical Library at http://tech.napcosecurity.com/. Click Software & Firmware, and download the IBR-ITAB tablet firmware file to your computer (located in this link: http://tech.napcosecurity.com/index.php/techlibrary/docdetails/brand_id/1/doc_id/2029).
- Unzip the file to a folder with the exact name of "napco" and copy this folder to a blank (empty) USB thumb drive or SD card (we recommend that no other files exist on the USB thumb dive or DS card). Do not rename any of the files or folders.
- Insert the USB thumb drive or SD card into the IBR-ITAB or IBR-ITAB-HW tablet.
- From the table Home screen ("pie screen"), tap the Applications icon ("three dots"). Tap NAPCO Updates, and tap Cancel for Android settings.
- Change the Source from the Internet to the USB drive or SD card inserted in step 3.
- Tap Check for Updates, tap Yes for Update found, tap Yes for Replace application, and tap Yes for Install application. Tap Done when application finishes installing.
- The IBR-ITAB or IBR-ITAB-HW tablet will automatically reconnect. Tap the "gear" (User Settings) icon and scroll down the menu to verify the App Version indicates the installed version number.
- Remove the USB thumb drive or SD card inserted in step 3 from the IBR-ITAB or IBR-ITAB-HW tablet.
Note: If the IBR-ITAB or IBR-ITAB-HW tablet is connected via Wi-Fi with Internet access, the iBridge tablet app can be updated from the Internet.
