What are the upgrade procedures and paths for the CardAccess 3000 software?
The current version of CardAccess 3000 is V2.11.6x Build 292 as of Sept. 2016.
If you are upgrading and require a newer version of CardAccess 3000, please contact your regional sales manager for pricing and availability. Reminder, each version of CardAccess 3000 has a unique security key/software license. If you are upgrading from a previous version (ex. V2.9.x to V2.11.x), you must purchase a new security key/software license. The security key/software license is the same for all versions of V2.11.x.
Database Upgrade Notes:
If you are upgrading CardAccess 3000 V2.5.x or earlier, the databases must be sent into Continenatal Access to be upgraded. Continental Access will upgrade one live database and one archive database free of charge. There will be a fee charged for additional archive databases and also very large archive databases.
Contact Continental Technical Support at techhelp@cicaccess.com to arrange to post the databases to the Continental ftpsite for upgrade.
If you are upgrading from V2.6.x or later, you can upgrade the database onsite without sending the databases into Continental Access.
Note: If you are upgrading CA195, CA295 or CA495, you must send the DATA folder into Continental Access to be upgraded. As previously mentioned, email techhelp@cicaccess.com to arrange to post the DATA folder on Continental ftpsite for upgrade.
