FAQs
Can I use both PIN Numbers and Proximity cards on my I-Qwik Prox lock?
The answer is Yes, but actually depends upon how the lock was initially programmed. Although the lock is a proximity lock, the GGM code can be set up for a PIN login. A GGM PIN login is essential to make the I-Qwik Prox lock operate with either PIN or proximity card operation.
The programming process is as follows:
1. The I-Qwik Prox lock must first be defaulted by following the process in the manual.
9991234# 000001#
2. The GGM code must be created with a numeric UID and PIN code with the following process:
For example: 9991234* 123# 456# (this would make the full GGM code "123456").
3. User Codes are entered by two different processes:
- User who has access through PIN Code:
Master UID & PIN# 01* New UID Number* Group Number* New PIN Number* *
- User who has access through proximity card:
Master UID & PIN# 01* New UID Number* Group Number* Present Prox Card*
4. How the User Code is entered at the lock is controlled by the PIN/Prox Only Mode.
- Lock is set in UID & PIN/Prox Mode:
User who has access through PIN Code:
UID & PIN*
User who has access through Prox Card:
UID* then present Prox Card
- Lock is set in PIN/Prox Only Mode
User who has access through PIN Code:
PIN*
User who has access through Prox Card:
Present Prox Card
