Does the Model 715 include any "dogging" feature to keep the latch open? A "dogging" feature (as in "dog down" the bar) overrides an automatic self-locking latch, allowing the door to remain unlocked.
No, the latch on the 715 is controlled by an electronic solenoid, and the push bar should not be held in the open position by any mechanical device.
Note: Part #P5253 (Dogging Spring Latch Assembly) is only applicable to the Alarm Lock Model 700, and is not intended to be used with the Model 715.
