FAQs
How do I update the Firmware files in the CardAccess 3000 and CA4K software?
There are 4 firmware images in the CardAccess 3000 folder and CA4K folder. The files are smart.img, smart2.img, super2.img, cicp2100.img and accel.img.
The smart2.img is for the Version 2 Superterms and Turbo Superterms.
The super2.img is for the Super Two controllers.
The Accel.img is for the Accelaterm and the Accelarator controllers.
The Smart.img is for the version 1 Superterm panels.
The cicp2100.img is for the uniVerse Single Door Controller.
Note: The smarterm, miniterm and microterm as not flash programmable. These legacy panels require you to purchase a new firmware chip.
To perform firmware downloads to the panel, go to Configuration>Panels, and select Firmware download.
To upgrade the firmware images in the CardAccess3000 folder, rename the old images to (ex. smart2.old) and copy in the new images. Then perform the new firmware downloads as per the previous step.
