How can I reset my Marks lock using the keypad, without opening the housing or shorting the wires?

The reset procedure clears all user programmed data and resets all parameters to their original factory default condition.  A full reset can only be performed using this reset procedure: 

 

1. Disconnect the BATTERY.
2. Short the YELLOW & BLACK wire.
3. Connect the BATTERY and press # momentarily.
4. Disconnect the short on the YELLOW & BLACK wire.

Refer to the appropriate Marks IQ Kwik programming guide in order to initialize the lock using the factory code "9991234".

Note:  If you have the GGM code for the lock, then you can execute function 16 to clear all set users and schedules.  If you DO NOT have the GGM code for the lock, then perform a "hard reset" by disconnecting the battery etc., as detailed above.
