How do I wire to the control panel and program the StarLink SLe-GSM for Redundant Reporting?
The following example explains how to wire and program the StarLink SLe-GSM for a redundant signal through the Bell output of the control panel. Note: The SLe-GSM will only send general Burglary or Fire codes (Burg E130 / Fire E110), as a backup to the digital dialer. These redundant signals are reported to the central station every time the alarm is tripped, in addition to the normal Telco or Radio reporting codes.
Step 1: Program all Burglary zones for a steady bell output; also program all Fire zones for a pulse Bell output.
Step 2: Wire from the positive terminal of the panel Bell output to Input #1 (terminal #6) on the SLe-GSM (this wire is in addition to the standard power and Telco connections of the SLe-GSM).
Step 3: Go to the StarLink Radio Management Center at www.napconoc.com. Click the Inputs / Outputs tab and program IN 1 for Smart Channel Fire/Burg, as shown:
Step 4: In the StarLink Radio Management Center, click the Advanced tab. Program the central station Telco # for reporting tamper/linecut/parallel inputs and the Subscriber Account Number fields, as shown in the image below.
Step 5: (Optional) Program "N" for all inputs (Tamper Report, Reboot Report, etc.) that you do not wish to report to the central station.
