How do I wire a 1200 lb. magnetic lock or strike to the GEM-ACM1D module?

When wiring a 1200-pound magnetic lock or magnetic strike to the GEM-ACM1D, check the following:

1. Ensure the unit is wired properly.  If using door 1, connect the positive (+12V) wire to terminal 3; connect the negative wire to either terminal 15 (N/O relay connection) or terminal 16 (for N/C), then place a jumper wire from terminal 4 (– PWR) to terminal 14 (COM).
2. In most installations, connect the diode included with the magnetic lock or strike.
3. Do NOT use CAT5 wire; optimally use 22-gauge wire.  If not using 22-gauge wire, you may experience trouble with the magnetic lock or strike releasing the protected door.
