FAQs
When installing a GEM-P3200 control panel wired system with three (3) GEM-RP1CAe keypads, the system appears to work correctly when only two keypads are installed, but adding the third keypad causes an E23 (BURG BUS FAILURE) message and an E10 (KEYPAD FAILURE, #1). How can I resolve this?
Please check the following:
- The keypads are addressed as keypads 1, 2 and 3, with no duplication of the keypad # 1 address (see "Keypad Configuration" in the control panel Installation Manual)
- The control panel is programmed for three keypads within the correct Area (Area 1).
(See Quickloader Keypad Assignments in Feature Programming Menu, Keypad Features tab or Programming Manual WI818 for programming of locations 2425, 2426, 2427 which must be programmed [* 1] to put all keypads in Area 1).
