FAQs
How do I program for a normally open zone on a control panel?
There is no special programming required for a normally open zone. Wire your normally open device across the EOL resistor as shown in the control panel's wiring diagram. When this normally open device goes into the alarm state (short), the zone will fault, prompting the control panel to begin the programmed alarm response.
Notes:
- Do NOT program the option "No EOL resistor" for this zone.
- The above explanation applies to the following control panels:
- MA1016LKDL, MA1016E, MA1008LKDL, MA1008E and all Gemini control panels, EXCEPT the GEM-P800, GEM-P400, XP-400, XP-600; and both the GEM-P1632 and GEM-P1664 when zone doubled.
