FAQs
A "black screen" appears in the Internet Explorer browser when viewing live video within the iSeeVideo web account (at www.videoalert.net). What can I do?
1. Quit all Internet Explorer windows and reopen Internet Explorer. Click Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites.
2. Click the Sites button and in the Trusted Sites dialog that opens uncheck the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone checkbox. In the Add this website to the zone field, type http://www.videoalert.net. Click Add and then click Close.
3. Click the Custom level… button and in the Security Settings - Trusted Sites Zone dialog that opens scroll to the heading Active-X controls and plug-ins. Select "Enable" for all radio button settings under this heading. When complete click OK, then click Apply, then OK again.
Note: Ensure that all Active-X controls are set to "Enable" (not "Prompt" nor "Disabled") as any other setting except "Enable" could result in the Active-X control not prompting an installation request after the session is refreshed.
4. When complete, quit all Internet Explorer windows and reopen Internet Explorer. Visit http://www.videoalert.net and log in to your account. Upon clicking a specific camera to view, Internet Explorer will prompt you to install any Add-ons required. After the Add-ons are installed, you can then view live video feed normally.
