FAQs
I noticed that Napco's 'Dealer Support Docs' area of your website has been completely updated to make it easier to locate specific documents. But what is the difference between a "Tech Note", "Tech Tip", "Application Note" and "FAQ"?
Tech Notes allow us to communicate tested solutions and / or work-arounds to issues that could potentially occur when installing and / or maintaining our products. In the form of a .pdf file, Tech Notes are easily identified by the exclamation point image, shown above.
Tech Tips allow us to share information that may enhance and / or optimize your experience in installing and maintaining our products. In the form of a .pdf file, Tech Tips are easily identified by the light bulb image, shown above.
Application Notes provide specific details of a component in a specific application or a particular process. Useful for detailing the more atypical uses of a particular component, our application notes are often used by design engineers to integrate the component into a system.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) provide answers to commonly asked questions by customers, dealers, sales representatives and installation technicians. Usually displayed on websites for assistance with troubleshooting, FAQs also help people solve specific problems, often with newly purchased software or hardware.
