FAQs
On the Freedom F-64 control panel with an F-64TP keypad, I can't arm away (i.e. arming interval insufficient). How can I resolve this?
In the Freedom F-64 system, be sure to program adequate "exit delay" time to allow the pressing of the AWAY button on the keypad, and the locking of the deadbolt (outside the premises) to arm the system. If this programmed time is insufficient, attempting to arm the system Away will display an "Arming Interval Timed Out" keypad warning message, and the keypad voice will annunciate "System has not armed, please reinitiate the arming sequence". To ensure adequate "exit delay" time, proceed as follows:
- Enter Touchpad Configuration Mode (see the Programming Instructions manual referenced below).
- At the keypad, press MENU repeatedly until the display "Pre Away/Stay" appears. The value in this location refers to the number of seconds allowed between the moment you press AWAY on the keypad, and the moment you lock the deadbolt to arm the system. The default value is 060 (60 seconds).
- Enter the appropriate value for your unique situation to allow enough time to start the arming sequence at the keypad, exit the premises and lock the deadbolt to arm the system.
