FAQs
Can you explain how to use Windows Device Manager to troubleshoot hardware devices when using PCD-Windows Quickloader?
Device Manager is a Windows software utility used to investigate potential hardware conflicts and is helpful with locating and resolving other computer-related issues. However, accessing the Device Manager itself differs within each version of Windows. Described below are the various ways to access Device Manager using Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7, respectively:
Windows XP: Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, System. In the System Properties dialog, click the Device Manager button. You can also access the System Properties dialog by right-clicking My Computer and selecting Properties.
Windows Vista:
1. Click Start, Control Panel, System and Maintenance.
Note: If viewing the "Classic View" of the Control Panel, you will not see "System and Maintenance"; instead, double-click Administrative Tools and proceed to Step 3.
2. In the System and Maintenance screen, click Administrative Tools (located at the bottom of the screen).
3. In the Administrative Tools screen, double-click Computer Management.
4. When the Computer Management utility opens, click Device Manager (located on the left side of the window, toward the bottom of the System Tools list). The Device Manager utility appears on the right side of the Computer Management screen. Note: If Device Manager is not listed, click the |> next to System Tools.
Windows 7: Click Start, Computer, System Properties, Device Manager.
